Project Heroes Features Eric McGehearty

Eric McGehearty, a Shelton alumnus

(see Alumni Updates, p. 18 and Staff Stuff, p. 19)

spoke this spring to Middle School students as

part of Shelton’s Project Heroes program.

The speakers program features successful people

who have overcome learning differences.

Students had an immediate rapport with Mr.

McGehearty and gave him a standing ovation.

Former Students

Eric McGehearty (Shelton 1988 – 1993) had

an art showing of his work “Unreadable Words”

at the Dallas Central Public Library on April

18th. The show moved to Fort Worth’s

Community Art Center, where it remains until

May 30. Eric was the featured speaker at

Shelton’s Project Heroes in March (see Middle

School News, p.10).
